About 5.5 million U.S. adults suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). This condition is from swollen tendons that compress the nerve within the canal in the wrist. The cause is normally from repetitious use of your fingers wrists and/or arms (people who do a lot of computer work, or cleaning, hair stylists, seamstresses, etc.).
Smoking, being overweight and not exercising can increase risks of CTS.
You can help prevent CTS by stretching or flexing your arms and fingers before you do your repetitious work, and at intervals while you’re working.
People have also reported preventing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by using Chinese Steel Balls. The rolling motion massages the ligaments and tiny muscles in your wrists and hands that can cause CTS. Use them often while doing your repetitious activities.
If you’re having trouble sleeping because of pain, it helps to wear a splint or wrist brace to bed.
