Making baby food is so easy, and it saves a lot of money! I make food for my baby on a regular basis. Making a lot at once to freeze saves time too! For fruit, I simply buy a bag of frozen mixed fruit and thaw it. I don’t recommend canned fruit as much as the frozen because many aluminum cans may contain toxic substances in the lining. It’s recommended to not give babies strawberries before 12 months of age, so I pick the strawberries out to give to my older girls. You can add frozen blueberries that you’ve thawed, bananas, applesauce, etc.. I blend the fruit, adding water as needed for the right consistency and strain it through a fine strainer. You can then pour them in an ice cube tray and put them in a freezer bag to thaw your ice cubes as needed. It’s very easy to do and my baby thinks it’s delicious! 🙂 Click here for my post on making sweet potatoes.
