Mae’s Handcrafted Soap {Review and Giveaway!}

I well remember the days of commercial soap use – the dry, itchy feeling I had every time I got out of the shower.  Thankfully, those days are gone!  Handmade soaps that contain the best ingredients are so gentle on my skin!
I received 4 bars of soap from Mae’s Soap about a month ago to keep and review.  {I chose Berry Wine, Chocolate Covered Cherries, Frankincense & Myrrh and White Rose} I am enjoying them so much, and more all the time the longer I use them!  The tallow used in each bar of soap not only makes it last forever, but it gives it a vintage feel that reminds me of what handmade soap must have been like in days gone by.  Every time I use them, I’m brought back in time.  The light scents are so refreshing and not offensive and perfumey. I love the lather and moisturizing feel they give.  Doesn’t it only make sense that our skin should feel moisturized and soft after showering?  Mae’s Soap contains the best ingredients to add moisture to your skin, not take it away!
Mae’s Handcrafted Natural Soaps are made in small batches to ensure highest quality.

Olive Oil is added for extra gentleness; coconut oil for fluffy lather.
Only high quality soap scents or essential oils are used.

The tallow in these soaps makes them last for such a long time!  Notice how there is no mushy residue under the soap, even after many uses.
 The soap below is not Mae’s Soap.  It stays gooey all the time, which causes the soap to “melt” away and not last as long.  You will not find this mushy goo when using Mae’s Soap!
 I love the lather this soap produces using safe, natural ingredients!
Mae’s Soap is generously giving away to one of my readers four {4 oz.} bars of soap {a $20 value!}!
The winner will choose their favorite scents from the current stock on hand.  The giveaway ends next Monday {8/20/12} at midnight.
Be sure to stop by her website to read more about her wonderful soaps!
“Your soap is SO much nicer to my skin… especially here in dry-ville, MN in the winter.”  ~  Steve B., Minnesota  {Satisfied Customer}

    This is great finding a blog that doesn’t only discuss natural foods. I love the whole take on natural, handcrafted soaps. Food isn’t the only thing to enter your body, soaps and creams enter through your skin, so it is nice to have a couple natural health remedies in mind. Thanks for sharing this very inspiring post. I want to try this when I get home from work.
