Fruits and Vegetables: An Alternative Medicine

It is a well-known fact that eating a healthy diet is important to those that want more energy and less sickness.  If you counsel with any doctor, whether conventional or natural, you will hear the similar advice that eating a healthy diet is important to staying fit and healthy. 

But many people don’t realize the impact that eating raw fruits and vegetables can have both in preventing and in treating sickness and diseases. 

Fruits and vegetables contain phytonutrients, which are nutrients derived from the plants.  These phytonutrients can protect the body and help fight diseases and cancers, boost the immune system, and slow down the aging process. 

It is best to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables of all colors, to be sure your body is getting that variety of phytonutrients.  Fruits and vegetables with the brightest and deepest colors tend to contain more nutrition.
