It’s very quick and easy to make your own healthy lip balm! You simple use equal measurements of the fist 3 ingredients, and add essential oils! In the video, I tripled the ingredients since we were making lip balm for several girls.

Homemade lip balm is fun to make at a girls’ party, or the perfect thoughtful gift to hand out at the holidays!

Recipe:

1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon cocoa butter
1 tablespoon beeswax
12 drops essential oil {can use a mixture}

Directions:

In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax.  Add the 12 drops of essential oils.  Pour into tins, tubes or small jars.  Let it sit on the counter until set.

Yields about 2 small lip balm tins.

Do you make your own lip balm?  What are your favorite essential oils to add?

It's a good idea to plant them right before a rain so the rain can help spread and germinate the spores.
