What is colloidal silver?
The history of colloidal silver
In the 1800’s and early 1900’s, farmers used silver products to keep milk fresh without refrigeration. Colloidal Silver was used as an effective antibiotic by most doctors before 1940. As medicine expanded and new medication was developed, colloidal silver was soon forgotten for the most part in the mainstream medical field.
Why silver and not antibiotics?
I do believe that antibiotics may be necessary at times for serious situations, but they are, in my opinion, very over-prescribed. While antibiotics do effectively kill the growth and reproduction of bacteria, they also kill our body’s good bacteria and compromise our gut health. Many present day bacteria are able to breed new and more powerful strains that can become resistant to antibiotics over time. Bacteria and viruses are not resistant to colloidal silver, making silver an effective treatment for any sickness.

Great post! and I agree, antibiotics are extremely over-prescribed. in some cases, they’re even abused! that’s why I stick to remedies like yours:)

Colloidal silver is great for many things, including wiping down kitchen counters to kill salmonella and other bacteria. It is even effective against MRSA. Other antibiotics do not kill MRSA. Hospitals SHOULD be using it by the bucket full.
When the chickens were ill with an unidentifiable bug, I added it to their drinking water and within a couple days all the hens were healthy again.
I’ve found it most cost effective to make my own. I purchased a colloidal silver generator several years ago and it is adjustable to control the ppm to be appropriate to the application – it’s great!

Be careful when taking colloidal minerals. I read that they could become toxic.

If you take a good quality colloidal silver, it cannot be toxic. I discuss this in the rest of the post on Bulk Herb Store. You can click the link above, or read it here:
