Immune Boosting Tea

I’ve had a slightly sore throat, swollen glands and have been fatigued the past few days.  I can tell for sure that my body is trying to fight something off.  I’m cutting back on sugar and feeding myself good things to help out.  I also got my favorite immune boosting tea out~called Double E Immune Booster.  It contains herbs that greatly help the immune system to fight off sickness!
The herbs are:
Nettle Leaf, Peppermint Leaf, Echinacea Root, Echinacea Tops, Elderberries whole, Ginseng Root and Rosehips.  These herbs combined together are a fast and effective way to boost our immune system.  When I make this tea, I don’t just steep it – I gently simmer the herbs together for about 10 minutes and then strain.  Why do I simmer instead of just steep?  This mixture contains roots, berries and hard herbs that need some extra coaxing to get all the nutrients.

From left to right, I’m showing echinacea root, a dried elderberry and rose hip.  These are hard herbs.

Add 1-2 tsp. of dried herb per cup of boiling water.  I normally use 2 tsp. when I’m making medicinal tea.

I simmered for about 10 minutes.
Strain the herbs.  I strained them into a jar because I made enough for me and my girls, but I don’t make a pitcher of this kind.  We only drink it when we feel like we need a boost.
Compost your herbs so that they are not wasted, and they will add nutrients to your garden!

P.S. I felt much better throughout the day as I drank this tea!  My scratchy throat disappeared ~ I love these immune boosting herbs!!!

This Immune boosting tea with the six herbs really worked for me in an amazing way. I had a very bad tooth infection that had begun to really make me tired and dizzy with headaches, etc. and in the midst of this painful problem was the first time I had the chance to try this tea. Very shortly after drinking a cup I had a sudden boost of energy and could suddenly think clearly for the first time in three days. I was quite amazed how the herbs all worked together so well to wake up my body in the midst of that nasty infection….
“Thank you so much Jill for sharing this with me!!!”
