Thank you for joining me for my

 One-Year Blogging Anniversary Giveaway!
One year ago this week, I officially launched my home remedies blog out of a desire to share with others practical and money-saving ways to “doctor” their families using home remedies, and live a more self-sufficient life.
As a “thank you” for joining me on this journey, I’m hosting 3 days (Monday-Wednesday) of giveaways!
I am so excited about the companies that are sponsoring this giveaway by giving away some awesome gifts!
For today, one reader will win 3 gifts:
*A $15 gift certificate to Vintage Handmade Soaps!
Most of you know that I love handmade soap and have never bought anything but handmade since I’ve tried it!  The unique fragrances and silky lather has spoiled me – plus it’s very important to know that I’m using only the safest, natural ingredients on my skin!  I’ve used Vintage Handmade Soaps, and was very pleased with the quality and silkiness of the soap.  They make their soaps using natural oils consisting of castor, coconut, olive, palm, sunflower and shea butter.  They also use Silk Milk for added moisturizing effects.  If you suffer from dry skin, you will see a great improvement switching soaps!
Some of Vintage Handmade Soaps’ current scents are Lavender & Oats, Chocolate Mint and Tiger Fever!  Don’t they sound wonderful?  They are!

Here is one customer review from the website:
“I am excited to recommend Vintage Handmade Soaps! I have been enjoying the oatmeal scrub for some time now and am very pleased with how long the bar has lasted!!  When you use Vintage Homemade Soaps you will immediately notice a difference in ho giw wonderfully they leave your skin feeling-especially as compared to commercial store bought soaps. Vintage Handmade Soaps leave you feeling clean…your skin soft and smooth and there is no residue. The scent of the oatmeal is light and fresh.

I have also allowed my children to use this soap. Two of them suffer from eczema and I have found this particular soap to be one of few they can use without suffering a breakout. That is a wonderful find!!!”  Shannon, Ohio
*The Cottage Mama Plans Her Menu Ebook!
This 46-page collection contains 29 recipes that are for the frugally, naturally-minded mama!
The recipes feature the slow cooker, the grill, skillet meals, soups, meatless dishes & favorite breakfast recipes.  Each meal serves approximately 6 people.  I have my own copy of this ebook and love the fact that the ingredients are healthy wholefoods using every day ingredients!  Nothing is more disappointing to me to find a collection of healthy recipes that use foreign-sounding foods that break the pocket book!  The winner will get one copy of this menu-planning ebook!
*Sugar & Spice Lip Balm

Sugar and Spice was recently started from the home of one of my college friends and her 3 daughters.  Their products contain only natural and organic ingredients.  Their products include:
  • Body Scrubs
  • Lip Balms
  • Lip Gloss
  • Organic Soap
Below is part of a Sugar & Spice review by Slowly Natural!

” This sugar scrub can be described in just one word: amazing! I’m not just saying this either!!! I first tried the scrub on my hands. They were looking winter-ish. You know, dry skin and just an overall yucky look. I used very little of the scrub and immediately saw a difference! After rinsing my hands I couldn’t help but just caress them, they were that soft!
I next tried the scrub as part of my face cleaning routine. I really didn’t think anything could top my experience with my hands, but I was wrong! I’m telling you- if you don’t have this scrub you are missing out!

Since then, I’ve used the scrub for EVERYTHING! It’s perfect to use during a manicure, in fact, my daughters loved how smooth their hands were before they painted their nails! It helps smooth rough feet, too!

To me, the sugar scrub is exactly what you need after winter! It’s the perfect item to help exfoliate the dry, dead skin that comes from winter’s harsh conditions. I live in a very windy, dry area so this product will be used often!

I take that back, you need this scrub year round! It makes you feel good, pretty, and soft!”

The winner will get one lip balm of their choice!  I can’t wait to make my first purchase soon!!
One person will win all three products offered today!  Only the first entry is mandatory, but there are many other ways to enter to increase your chances of winning!
*Giveaway ends this Saturday, April 21st at midnight and is only open to U.S. and Canadian residents*
Come back tomorrow for another day of awesome of giveaways!  The sponsors are Love My Jean Skirt and Eden Natural Skincare!!
