Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie

Smoothies are a favorite treat around our house. My children love the taste, and I love being able to hide healthy super-foods in a drink without them knowing it! 🙂

Purelean

One of our favorite smoothies combines chocolate, peanut butter and banana into delicious creaminess.  You can’t go wrong with that combo, can you?

I was recently contacted by Pure Encapsulations asking if I would be interested in creating a smoothie recipe using their PureLean protein powder.  I was thrilled to take them up on their offer!  The PureLean protein powder not only makes our smoothie taste that much more amazing, but is packed with just the kind of nutrition that I strive to feed my family.

If you don’t know it by now, I am a committed ingredient reader.  Most of the time I am disappointed in the ingredients I read on food packages – even many “natural” products.  Not so with this protein powder.  There wasn’t a single ingredient that brought disappointment.  PureLean is packed full of vitamins and minerals, a superfruit antioxidant blend {aceraols, camu camu, quercetin, acai, mangosteen, green coffee concentrate}, a long list of amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, plus 15 grams of vegetarian protein.  It’s also free of artificial additives, GMOs and allergens.

Let’s just say that I did not expect to be so pleased with all the healthful ingredients, nor for the protein powder to taste so delicious!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie

1 cup milk
2 bananas {I like to use frozen ones, or add ice cubes if using fresh bananas}
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 scoop PureLean Chocolate Protein Powder
1 tablespoon flax seeds

Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth, and enjoy!

    I am a complete non-fan of peanut butter, banana, and chocolate, but my hubby and some absolutely love it! I think this would just make their day! The protein powder looks interesting, too!

      What!? Not like chocolate and peanut butter together? I knew strange creatures existed somewhere out there. Haha! Just joking – I’ll still be your friend. 😉

    Jill, that looks really good. I was going to ask you when we went on furlough if you knew of a good protein powder. Thanks for the recommendation.
